THE THIRD ROCK FROM THE SUN HAS MOVED!!!
Following ongoing political
instability and flooding in Fiji, the two Societies made a decision to move the
planned conference from Fiji to an even more
exotic destination - Vanuatu!
Members of ASAM and AMSANZ (NZ Inc) are
cordially invited to an excellent meeting to escape the blues of winter and
economic recession.
The meeting will run from the evening of
Wed 26 August to the morning of Sunday 30 August. The scientific
program will include Patterson Visiting Lecturer Dr Petra Illig from Alaska, and
the Lane Visiting Lecturer, Dr Bill Griggs from Adelaide.
Formal registration brochures will follow
in the next month but early bird registration cost is expected to be the same as
last year's ASAM meeting (Early bird AUD$ 825) with accommodation approximately
A$1100 for 4 nights. Information will be added to the
conference website as it comes to hand and electronic notices will be sent
to advise further information on program, abstract submission and registration
dates.
Getting there: Some flights have been
block booked through a travel agent Orbit Corporate Travel

and can be held for a non-refundable deposit of $100. Alternatively if you
wish to book your fares yourself and extend for a holiday, there are seats
available currently. Flight choices are reasonably limited.
